The SHII MEEI SM-1517R is a pre-stretch pallet wrapping machine designed to efficiently secure and stabilize palletized goods using stretch film. Its pre-stretch technology allows the film to be stretched before being applied to the load, helping improve film utilization while maintaining consistent wrapping tension.

The machine features a patented pre-stretch system capable of stretching film up to 250%, with the manufacturer stating that this can reduce stretch film consumption by up to 60% compared with conventional wrapping methods. Actual film savings will depend on the film specification, load characteristics, and wrapping requirements.

The SM-1517R provides four wrapping modes, including standard wrapping, two single-layer wrapping modes, automatic reinforcement of the central area, and waterproof wrapping. Operators can adjust the turntable speed, carriage movement speed, and the number of top and bottom wrapping layers through the touchscreen control panel.

A soft start and stop function helps provide smooth operation, while the home-position function returns the turntable to its designated position after wrapping, making pallet unloading more convenient. The film can also be configured for either automatic or manual cutting when the wrapping cycle is completed.

The SM-1517R series is available with different turntable sizes to accommodate different pallet dimensions:
