This page explains what this website collects, why, and how to change your mind. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
We are Gamita Pak-IT Pte. Ltd., a distributor of packaging and labelling machinery in Singapore. If you have a question about anything here, the contact details on our contact page reach a person.
When you send an enquiry
We keep the name, company, email address, telephone number and message you type into the enquiry form, together with the machine or material the form was opened from. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of what was asked. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone outside the company.
When you accept cookies
We store a random reference in your browser so we can tell that the same browser has come back, and we record which pages were visited and when. The reference is a string of random characters generated by our own server. It is not built from your address, your device or anything about you, and it cannot be turned back into a person.
When you refuse
Nothing is stored in your browser and nothing about you is recorded. We do still add one to a counter for the page — the count for a page on a date, and the website that sent you, and nothing else. It cannot tell you apart from anyone else, it cannot tell whether you have been here before, and it cannot follow you from one page to the next. It is how we know which machines people are interested in.
What we never collect
We do not store your IP address against the pages you view, we do not build a fingerprint from your device or browser to recognise you without a cookie, we do not use advertising or social media trackers, and there is no third-party analytics on this site. The address you came from is reduced to the website name before it is stored.
How long we keep it
Page counts and page views are kept for two years. Enquiries are kept while we may still need them to serve you, and are removed when they are no longer needed.
Changing your mind
The Cookie choice link at the bottom of every page reopens the question, and changing your answer to no stops any further recording immediately and erases what was recorded before.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the email address on the contact page and we will answer.
