Unitech MS852B Plus ESD Bluetooth 2D Imager Scanner

The MS852B Plus ESD (Electrostatic Discharger) 2D imager scanner is a high-performance device additionally designed to satisfy the stringent requirements of cleanrooms and static-safe manufacturing environments. Part of Unitech's MS85x ESD series — high-performance 1D laser and 2D imager scanners, available USB corded or cordless (Bluetooth) — these scanners are purpose-built for static-safe environments such as semiconductor manufacturing, gas stations, fuel grounds, mining fields, and clean-rooms requiring electrostatic discharge control.

Featuring 2D scanning technology, the MS852B Plus ESD captures most 1D/2D barcodes on mobile screens — even damaged or poorly printed ones — plus special symbologies such as OCR on passports, dot codes on tires or cigarette packaging, and Digimarc barcodes on retail packaging. It supports Bluetooth dual-mode technology (Bluetooth LE V4.2 & Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Class 1), pairing easily with any smartphone, tablet, or computer, and transmits data up to 100 meters from the base in line of sight. It can also automatically populate electronic forms in a single scan from US driver's licenses or ID cards.

ESD Protection

Made using an internal-mix method with antistatic agent, the MS852B Plus ESD-safe scanner body and cable withstand ESD in the 10⁵–10⁹ ohms-per-square range, with no chlorine material. This internal-mix approach provides longer-lasting ESD protection than external anti-static coatings, which wear off during handling — the internal agent continuously replenishes the plastic surface as it's consumed.
