Built with a megapixel barcode sensor, the MS852 DPM ESD achieves maximum compatibility for capturing most 1D/2D barcodes on mobile screens, as well as special barcode symbologies like Direct Part Marks on chips. Direct Part Marking permanently marks a barcode directly onto an item — such as plastic or metal — using laser etching, dot peening, or ink jet printing, ensuring the item can be identified throughout its full lifecycle, even under harsh environmental conditions.

ESD Protection

The MS852 DPM ESD is manufactured using an internal-mix method with antistatic agent, making the scanner body and cable ESD-safe for use in ESD-protected areas. This internal-mix approach withstands ESD in the 10⁵–10⁹ ohms-per-square range and contains no chlorine material — providing longer-lasting ESD protection than external anti-static coatings, which can wear off during packaging or handling.
